If you're like us, you know that good policy is really not all that complicated.  Experience and common sense teaches us, for example, that:

1. Spending money you don't have and have no hope of getting is a recipe for disaster.

 

2. More government is rarely the solution to a problem.

 

3. Each individual must take primary responsibility for his own well-being and that of his family.

 

4. Every judge and prosecutor has a duty to apply the law as it is written, and not as he or she wishes it could be.

 

5. The people of a nation should determine for themselves the laws which will govern their lives.

Although the above ideas are common sense to us, we have learned that they are not common sense to everyone.  Bigger government, larger debts, irresponsibility, emotional decisionmaking and internationalism seem to be the order of the day.

Dear Fellow Patriot,
We have been frustrated in our attempts to reverse the descent of our government into socialism/totalitarianism. It appears as though our protests consistently fall on deaf ears. It is time to take the next step and formally petition our government, our right to which in guaranteed under the first amendment. This e-mail contains a formal copy of a list of grievances and a u-tube link. It is not comprehensive but if only a fraction of these concerns are addressed, it will be a beginning. I would like to see three things done with this list. First, to have it read at every April 15 TEA party. Second, that at those TEA parties, a copy is signed by the participants and sent to the office of Speaker Pelosi via private carrier (Fed Ex, UPS). Finally, it is my desire to have these grievances entered into the congressional record. This will take a very courageous congressperson.

Current economic policy has resulted in a $45 trillion national debt that is now 65% of GDP, to balloon to 90% of GDP if not stopped, which lowers the standar of living for everyone. The democrat party claims to be for the little guy but taxes in the health bill and all the taxes that they have signed into law equal $670 billion; which increase prices, and prevent job growth for everyone. They are now proposing a VAT and gasoline tax which is regressive so that it punishes the poor the most. Out-of-control deficit spending, an exploding nation debt, and increasing taxes result in increased prices, an ever lower standard of living, job losses, a lack of job growth, and a permanent high percentage of the unemployed as well as underemployed. This is why I encourage everyone to keep up the great work by voting for Reagan Conservatives, networking with others in other areas to vote, and donate to conservatives runnning against these politicias who will not listen to the people.

There they go again trying to take over yet another industry. The Super-TARP bill, otherwise known as the wall street reform bill, attempts to ensure future bailouts and creates another federal bureaucracy with unlimited authority to take over any bank without judicial review. It does not address the underlying mandates passed by congress that banks make these risky loans. This democrat congress is also busy adding amendments that will punish oil and mining companies.

I normally NEVER read anything about the party because i have come to see it as venemous HOWEVER over the last 2 weeks I have seen the group represent more things that are sensible....like this petition. Regardless of party, race or gender we all want COMMON SENSE measures. Good for you FRISCO TP. This is absolutely common sense. Good luck in your efforts. I live in the city that backed out....P.S...the TAX DAY protest that took place on edlorado&hardin in McKinney was absolutely dispicable. Dont know if those folks were apart of your group but they did not represent you well at all. Nazi signs, monkets on shoulders and racists rants will not get it....that same week I went to the Chico's in that location twice and becauwe of their appalling service, I have sowrnto never return and even encouraged all of my neighbors to do the same. I hope they feel it!

We've got to hang onto everything we have at this point...especially the Declaration of Independence (it could work in the people's favor). First line starts reading: "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another,..."-our forefathers wrote this in our favor...we may need to use it here soon.
